Arc instantly woke up after a time inbetween an hour and half an hour since the sun finally went down now but moon hadn't only apeared in his vision. "Time to continue, Deimon!" Arc said causing Deimon to almost wake up instantly. Arc then focus on the situation. "Looks like the half-breeds have passed us by based on the fact that all the yoki is now north with some to the west," Arc thought. "Now lets decipher the situation in that direction." Arc thought then intentionally spoke his thoughts so Deimon will understand the situation as Arc drew his sword from the ground and picked up those branches that were keep sakes from the battles. "The safest route to the meeting point seems to be to cut across the road straight to the meeting point now. It seems to contain a few non ally yoki but it is realtively safe now. But with my senses back normal I should be able to navigate it without any encounters. The route I discribe before would also be safe from Yoma encounters however we would have to worry about fires. So Deimon, let's go find out the results of this test." Arc started walking a path going in the general direction he need to go for the direct safe route and Arc continued to use his yoki senses as he began walking toward the meeting point.
Luckily both Cecily and Farleen made it through the woods safely. The hostiles seemed to have cleared the direct path north east. Nothing but scattered body parts were left to see. Not even the sound of claw and steel could be heard, only the crackling sounds of ember and the rustling of leaves
“Hopefully everything will be clear,” Cecily addressed her quiet companion. Farleen appeared easily irritable. Cecily did not want to agitate her and so decided not to speak any further.
Both the would-be-ranked warriors managed to arrive at the foot of the north eastern mountain tattered but in one piece. There was still half an hour left before the designated time of rendezvous. They only had to get to the summit to complete the mission and it looked like nothing would impede them.
“Finally,” Cecily said with relief as she took the final step atop the mountain. She kept her tone serious and professional so as not to misdirect the impressions of the black cloaks who stood waiting.
OOC: At sazny (can I call you that? lol) I finished the RPG for both our characters. I just assumed we went the same direction.
.: Deimos :.
He opened his eyes. Deimos hadn't realized he'd fallen asleep, still looking up at the trees. With a grimace he used his claymore to support him up, stretched, and pulled out his sword to resheathe it.
Nothing's changed. No yoki perception for me.
He followed after Arc, quiet footsteps on the forest floor, elusive shadows between the trees.
To the mountains. The meeting point is there.
Arc and Deimon arrived at the base near of mountian where the meeting point is located with plenty of time to spare and not a single encounter along the way. They both began their climb to the meeting point. "It seems a quiet a few fellow half-breed are there and they seem strong. Also it seems that other trainee half-breed are gathering on the mountain beginning there climb to meeting place too." Arc thought as he continued using his sense to get an idea of the situation thougth he was feeling tired again. "It looks like we have surived our first mission Deimon." Arc said as they finally arrived at the meeting place.
"That fucking bitch! How did she kill so many of us?" The lone Yoma swore loudly, cursing and blinding in a way most people would find unintelligible. On a battlefield, a number of things can get you killed. Not paying attention is definitely one of those things. Lindy crept into range of the Yoma, she wasn't stealthy at all, most of the twigs she stepped on broke loudly under her heel.
She was now in range and quickly dashed towards the Yoma's exposed back.
The Yoma made no sound as Lindy's blade cleaved the Yoma in two, perhaps because the Yoma didn't realise it was dead. The body separated from the legs which stood upright the whole time, despite the force Lindy had used to to tear it to shreds. The upper body landed on the floor and rolled towards a tree, twitching violently while the legs just stood there serenely. Silence followed and a few birds flew out of the tree that had been subjected to half a Yoma's violent seizures.
"Ah they are all dead. Ok, now to trace Sisteena.
Found her Yoki signal. I'll head there."
Lindy heard sudden snap of a twig and she turned. Unsure who it was, she held onto her Claymore tight and position with a defensive stance. However, it was another fellow Claymore. Knowing that, she became relief.
"Ah good to know another Claymore." Lindy thought to herself.
With that, Lindy and Alerian walked together towards the location of Sisteena, where the black coats were.........
OOC: I have gotten permission from Alerian to move to the finish point with her. Erm let me know if I'm not allowed to move her with me to the end. Thanks :D
Laughs when the other claymore addressed to him as a female ahhh excuse me I’m a guy. I only have long hair well maybe I’m more beautiful than the other females out there but I’m a guy really hahahahaha. Well then lets look for your partner. I'm Alerian Kaiser..... ahh never mind the last part just call me Alerian.
Glad to be rid of the pure blood that had futilely attempted to rip off her face, the armor-clad woman turned back to face the direction she'd had gently deposited the now distant Sisteena in. Looking at her gauntlets dumbfounded, the awakened one pondered over what had just transpired.
'Was it pity, or a reflection?'
The faint smell of burning wood trailed up her nostril, breaking this train of thought and bringing her back to her senses. There was no reason to prolong her stay any longer, especially now it was likely going to blaze to ashes. She darted through the trees and over the dead like a gust of wind, distancing herself from the stench of death and out of the way.
'Damn, it's going to take awhile to get rid of this pungent scent.'
[End of the longest day]
The sun had vanished already. The stars lit up the night sky accompanied by the stars. Thin wisps of clouds trailed overhead while near the peak of the mountain, a gust of wind blew dust and small pebbles through the air. The area was the exact opposite of the area the trainees had just been in, even though it was desolate it was still the closest thing many of them had to a home. This type of environment eased the bodies and souls of many trainees hardened by the experience. Surely none of them wanted to be in another forest for quite a long time.
A row of black clothed people stood in a perfect line awaiting the survivors, their clothing fluttered in the wind making soft rustling noises. They waited obediently as the survivors trickled into base camp, some came alone, others camp in pairs and some even came with injured people. The trainees who had arrived early tried their best to stand at attention in the presence of the black suits, but some couldn't maintain a composed posture and slumped themselves on the ground in exhaustion. No matter what the trainees did while after they pilled in, the black suits still kept the same composure. The silence was eerie, the only noise was the sound of smalls rocks being blown by the wind.
The mission for those who had arrived was officially over, they had survived another day as a half-human, half-yoma hybrid. But little did they know, that this was the easy part...
OOC: and the first mission comes to a close. Me or Miria will post the epilogue topic sometime soon and decide rankings etc.
