Hmm maybe its a different Yoma type?
Irene and Ophelia gotten Yomas from the same clan, hence, they have pointy ears.

I always figured that since Yoma have pointy ears themselves, that the pointy ears that came about in some of the Claymores were something that happened during their time becoming Claymores, when they have Yoma flesh and blood implanted into them, and that maybe, they almost awakened during it or something (since I think Claymores ears grow pointy when they go above a certain point, look at Priscilla). Who knows, may have contributed to why they're so strong (Irene and Ophelia are the only ones I can think of, and they're #2 and #4 respectively).

There are humans with pointy/elf-like ears. See the episode with the innkeeper Clare deceived into thinking she had a brother she was looking for. I thought the ears looked pointed.
IMO it's just to add to the fantasy atmosphere.
If not, then my eyes must be going. XD

I complitely agree with Superman2x7, her ears form indicate that her grandfather (grandmother) was from holy tribe of elves.
