Thread: Claymore video game!

ARGGG wouldn't that be awesome if they actually make one?! >[]< I don't want it to be a fighting game, though, that would suck =P. What are your opinions on the game systems if there would actually be one eventually? =D

It can be a decent RPG, but I suppose I might be biased from the Witcher game (never thought I could be wishing for October to come, of all months). It will take a good developer and some luck to make a decent game out of it, sure, but it is possible. It could make an okay action game a la - hmm, I'm a PC guy so I can't remember that many good action games to come out recently - Prince of Persia or Devil May Cry, although they'd need to make a decent mechanic for all that power release process. I think that's the optimal choice. Lastly, a fighting game... Well, considering that a lot of the fights are melees rather than straight 1-on-1s, it might be a bit weird. Unfortunately, judging by the kind of anime games to appear so far, this is the most likely option. Still, it is possible that they manage to make it work; I did enjoy the mass fights of OMF:Battleground (but then it was usually a gang-up on you rather than the other way around - I doubt that you can play as an awakened one, and normal youma shouldn't be able to kill claymores that easily even with a numerical advantage). In the good old days of arcade gaming, it would have made for a fun side-scrolling beat-em-up game. Remember Knights of the Round, The Punisher and King of Dragons?

It'd be nice to create it from mugen, but sprites are hard to find/make (according to me XD). I've done a lot of characters in mugen before... but it takes quite a while to make just one character.

Maybe someone out there would start something similar to EFZ or MeltyBlood but with Claymore dedicated characters.

Oh, I don't know, maybe in the style of Little Fighter 2?


Just change those bandits into yoma and the playable sprites into Claymores.

There's even a template for making your own character sprites.
