Well I think what Raki did was pretty natural. He was desperate and felt he was going to lose Clare. He obviously cares alot for her, I think if anyone knew their loved one was going to be at jeopardy they wouldn't be scared life or death. Its probably what drove him, well that and the fact that he's a Clare crazed fanboy probably overcame his fear of Yoma and Awakened Beings.

I have no problems with Raki's behavior. Raki wouldn't be Raki now without Clare. How this episode showed it is...something else.

I was thinking real hard why the animators did not lump all the pris-raki episodes together and leave all the fighting scenes together. And I conclude that the animators wnated to build up suspense in viewers and make us sit tight on our chairs.

However, Im not used to the many switching back and forth parts in this episode. That was the first time I find it a nuisance.

PS: Was it me or do you you all notice that all the other Claymores went missing when the big 4 were fighting Rigardo. So where and what are they doing? Or are the animators just plain lazy to draw the others.

When you've seen that trick done often and not very well, it gets tiring. A straight-up fight has just as much tension. They have switched back and forth before in other episodes. It never really distracted me, till now. Didn't work for me this time.

Btw Hynavian, you probably wouldn't have noticed that detail if you weren't jarred out of the fight so many times. The focus is supposed to be on the gang.

Pretty sure it was like that in the manga. Besides, would you want to see fodder in the background while the main characters are fighting the big nasty?

I was thinking since the anime did something different from the manga (suddenly all awakened beings went off to somewhere), maybe might have a chance to see what the other claymores or the awakened beings are doing. I remember the scene where all of them were actually gathered quite closely together but then they are disappeared when Mr Lion started attacking Miria.

Hmm maybe they went off to catch the Awakened to play checkers before coming back to get raped into 5 pieces...

    ~~

Why couldn't there be human-size Awakened? Playing checkers woulda been a LOT easier if there were instead of those bitch/newbtastic Godzilla wannabes.

And ya, I'm pretty sure the manga had them missing too... the difference with the anime is that it's unexplained, not even in the slightest, as to why.

I think Rogardo would qualify as a human-sized monster.

Oh ya I find it really weird that all the Claymores and all the awakened beings went missing without any explanations as I did roughly have an idea that they were engaged with each other in the manga. Its different in the anime as the awakened beings were all called away while the whole gang just stood there. And suddenly, the whole gang of Claymores just disappeared too when Miria and gang are fighting.
