Thread: Priscilla - Guilty or Innocent?

Since Riful of the West has a thread on her, we should not miss out a "big" character like Priscilla. Priscilla's suffered a horrible fate as her family was eaten by youma who posed as her father and she even had to kill her "father" with her own hands. After that horrible incident, she suffered a fate just like what the other homeless girls did and became a Claymore. However, due to her inexperience and mentally unsound state at that time, she awakend to become one of the most powerful awakened beings ever in the claymore world.

Now here's a thing to ponder over. We have seen both in the manga and in the anime a "cute" and "helpless" Priscilla who's in a human form. She not only cried in the anime (while eating up others in episode 21) but also cried in the manga (the part where she sensed the deaths of the 24 claymores while she's on the cliff with Isley+Raki). Here's the question....

Why do you think Priscilla is crying then? Is she crying for the Claymores? I definitely don't think that those are tears of joy ya. Further, why is Priscilla behaving like some helpless kid in the manga? Did she really lost her memory or did she just do that to trick a foolish Raki?

Perhaps some part of her soul (assuming she has one) is still kind of "human", so she is able to feel emotions like pity (maybe) to those dying claymors and thats why she is attracted (supposedly) to Raki.

She doesn't have any selfish motif to trick Raki, does she? After all, he is way to powerless to actually be any of help to her.

Priscilla is a strange person, i mean she could of killed Clare when she had first awkened, yet she didn't. I feel kind of bad for her, yet shes still a pretty powerful Awakned being. I'm pretty sure she still retains her memories which is why shes crying. Again when she first awkened she looked pretty evil and wicked. Who knows though

She never killed any of littel girls if I recall correctly. I wonder why is that. I evn had a wierd thought that she leaves some matherial for organisation to use.

Hang on. Is it in both the anime and manga that Priscilla lost her memories?

Where'd you hear this one from? I recall from the manga Riful told Clare how Priscilla went on a rampage and devoured cities in the north until she got herself in a duel with Isley? I'm certain by rampage and devouring city also mean little girls were involved. Only little girl she spared was Clare for who knows what reasons.

Translation problems?

"I heard that for some reason, while she went from town to town, annihilating them, there was one little girl she did not even touch."

And after that sentance, what is written in the buttom left corner of the page (Riful speaking of course)?

Here it is:

"She's a mysterious child. Even though she tore out the guts of every single human in those cities. That little girl had not even one scratch. Yes. It's as if...that little girl did not even get reflected in her eyes."

I'm guessing that doesn't match your translation either...?

I'd like to think of Priscilla as innocent. She's very much like a certain little girl right now.

I so cannot wait until Priscilla and Clare meet. ^_^
