Biology of Awakened Beings + AOs

Higher lvl Awakened Beings seems to be able to shift parts of their bodies from human form to awakened form without much troubles. This is displayed by Duph with him pulling out bars of yoma infused metallic? constructon beams from parts of his bodies. With Abyssals this is just simple childs play if you see Luciela vs Isley or whenever Riful decided to kick in by extending her arm at people and awakened beings.

Awakened Beings or otherwise called Voracious Eaters have a appetite greater than normal Yoma. But what about Abyssal Ones? I mean if Awakened eats alot for some reason I'd suspect the AOs to be eating up city full of people by a month or so. Some reason this isnt the case. Is it possible that they don't need to eat as much? like the time they were claymores? or do they go about swallowing cities whole from time to time? They also seem to have strong control over their hunger in comparison to ABs (Raki lives with 2 and I don't think he's been eaten up yet. Just a gut feeling).

Reproduction. I think its safe to assume they can't reproduce otherwise we would have seen some offsprings by now right? Infact my guess is Claymores can't reproduce as a whole. Unless my original thoughts were correct and Miata really is a offspring of a male and female Claymores which even I think by now is a load of rubbish.

Okay, on the thoughts of offspring, who knows? We don't know if those organs in particular are changed for Claymores, and most of them don't really seem to be interested in that kind of relationship. My only guess would be that the organization may remove those particular organs to maximize fighting potential (remember that scene in Berserk?), with their female warriors. Of course, maybe they experiment with that kind of thing.

The Abyssal Ones seem to have more control over everything that they do, so I assume that extends to appetites. After all, they've got human-level consciousness, and Isley and Priscilla have made friends with Raki. As for what they eat and when, I can't really make a guess or favour one idea over another. Presumably, they do eat a lot when they do, but we haven't seen one eat so far, have we?

Hmm, but Duph/Duff/Dafu seems interested in Riful not so much out of survival instincts (hell he'd be better off siding with Isley and Priscilla if he was told Priscilla > Riful from Riful's own word). Although I think I'd rather not think of an offspring of Duph and Riful....

Scene in Berserk? have I missed something? I don't seem to recall what your refferring to.

Attraction isn't always because of... that, I guess. xD Or Duph could have some loyalty to Riful; he still is technically part human, right? Well, who knows. That might be something we never hear about just because it isn't important (unless we end up hearing about the child of Clare and Raki in the future or something odd like that).

In Berserk, Casca had a hard time at one point because it was her "time of the month"... that might be awkward with Claymore. =P

I wonder if the organization really bothered about PMS. They never had such problems with the males so they could have easily forgotten about removing female sex organs from their bodies. One thing I do wonder is whatever happened at that time when Teresa was surrounded by bandits who wanted a piece of her (in a really perverted orgy way) and got put off when Teresa showed them something. Just what did Teresa show them that put them off completely? Was it a absence of sex organs? or was it just the picture of her insides after she showed them a part of her that should remain inside than outside?

Yeah, that's what I've wondered about too. Since Teresa is female, I doubt it's an absence of sex organs... you couldn't really see that kind of thing. My best guess is that it would be some kind of nasty scar from whatever the organization does to create Claymore; don't they insert youma guts or something? Presumably, that would make a really nasty scar.

A really nasty scar sound like the logical option too. Further Clare did see whatever Teresa is trying to show the bandits too. Im sure it would horrify a young clare if its one of the insides.

Maybe its many nasty scars or some scaly deformed skins?

Touching on the topic of reproduction, Claymores do get injuries like a youma hand sticking through their stomachs etc. Though the wound may heal, can we say that it is substantial damage to make the womb non reproductive anymore. Remember the first few episode where that youma stuck a hand into clare's stomach when it had Raki as hostage? Clare did manage to stop the bleeding by summoning her youma powers but I dont think that short time is enough to re-summon a perfect womb.

(But again claymores like deneve can regenerate organs so... >.< )

Even if the womb and etc. is still physically there I guess that yoma flesh prevents it from working correctly at all :P

It's up to them how much they eat. Riful and Isley don't seem to eat much and can control their hunger, whereas Luciela is known as a bad eater, and eats both human and yoma. Probably eating everything she comes across as well.

How would that work? Youma have kids too, don't they? xD Or do they....
