I already knowed about the bionicals eyes, but i think that too much bionucal parts and co could be dangerous for us. (imagine if some radiations or a EMP interfered with your nanobots ,and made all your hybrid human started to die)
I would prefer to wear an exoeskeleton tan have machines inside me.
its not that i dont respect your opinion, i just dont want to hear it!

I kind of wonder how life would be like if everyone is made of metal.
    Horrible.
If life were to be made of metal on this planet, there would be no need of oxygen and nitrogen, and oxygen and nitrogen shouldn't be abundant.
Conversely, metals aren't readily available everywhere. They cost money. Air doesn't cost money. See the problem with having bionic parts? It's too expensive, and there aren't enough resources.
Another point, though. Carbon nanotechnology may give us wonderous dreams of near magical abilities, but it's not going to be good for making unnecessary modifications, only fixing diseases in our bodies, and even that is questionable as to whether it is good for us in the long run. If everybody lives and is immortal, can the planet survive?

It's not about curing diseases or granting everyone immortality. It is about fixing genetic flaws or accident caused blindness in people so that they may have a better quaility of life.

Yeah, but what caused the blindness in the first place? The "root" cause. The ultimate reason that diseases exist. It's to weaken various species so they don't overreproduce, but that's just the purpose not the cause. The reason wierd diseases are popping up is because the planet changed for the worse.
Put the clues together and the puzzle can be solved.

Although this begs the question, why? Why would nature self-destruct? Why create an intelligent race capable of destroying the planet and give them the will to do so? Well, maybe God didn't want life as it is. This is getting scary.

    Eek.

Or, perhaps God isn't omniscient? He created us, but couldn't predict where our society would go?

Or, maybe he gave us the power to choose. We could save ourselves from the direction our world is going. I mean, after all would he really care if the world died?

    I dunno.

Dammit. My logic sucks. I still don't have control over my mind. I'm ignorant.

My memories and emotions filter out thoughts, and thus, I can't think fully clearly despite my intelligence. Frustrating.

    Can nanotechnology help me?
