Thread: japanese mobile phone compatibility

hello,

would anyone happen to know whether mobile phones from japan will work in australia? i called up optus and they told me that as long as it runs on gsm 900/1800 then it should be fine...but alot of my japanese friends has told me that it does not work period.

so if anyone knows any good sites regarding which brands of phones will most likely work in australia...or if u know any facts then it'd be greatly appreciated.

Second, check the operating freqeuncy(or whatever the term is... can't remember)
