voices in anime
have you ever watched a anime and it a in english then watch the same anime in jap? vice-versa. Then you think "oh man....they totally got the voices wrong" or "ehh they just don't sound right"i've seen the DBZ anime in jap and english and they both sound good to me.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my soul the most....

The only anime that i watched in jap/eng was Evangelion and difference was great,some characters in the english werent appropriate for the series.

slackars the original is always the best, well at least i tink so, i dunno if its the way the jap is sounds dat makes it suit the anime, rather dan the english, although some is aite, but most looses the effect that the character voice is suited for him or her

The English dub of Cowboy bebop is better than the original IMO, same for GITS:SAC.

I don't think that the CB dub is better in English, though I do admit it's very good. GitS is the same.
I would say that GitS would be better except Aramaki's voice acting bugs the hell out of me. The Jap version has this youthfulness to it, and yet his body looks old. It shows that he has experience but is still clinging to young ideals of doing stupid things, like belief in people or doing the right thing. The Eng version has this geezer who sounds like he's still got a lot of years left in him. Similar, but very different.
I did like the Hellsing series English dub, mostly because of the accents. The Eva Spanish dub wasn't that bad either.

I am seiyuu-obsessed. I have favourites and all (Yamaguchi Kappei! ^_^ Okay, okay... I won't mention his name anymore). Not once have I seen an anime where the English dub is better than the original voices. Ever.
So since I can get pretty fierce about this topic, I'll back off...
