Thread: In Person To Cyberspace

Long ago I heard someone say that it would be better to meet someone in cyberspace then in real life. Well, since some people's identity and the way that they act as oppose to in real life may vary if you meet them face to face. What's your take on the subject?

It really depends of the person,because when you're on the net you can be anybody,but in real life you can't so you fake it and let loose of your normal self.

Most of the time i do or i edit what i want to say to something semi-acceptable so as not to get a butt whupping

I agree, you might know someone online that's a nice person, but when you meet them in rl, they are obnoxious and strange. Some say it's better to meet online than in person, well if you make friends online, stay friends online, don't try meeting in real life.

You never really know who is behind the keyboard until you see them. For all intent and purpose they could be the opposite gender that they claim to be and then some.

Regardless, in real live, or cyberspace, ill be the same, and I wont react any different.

Also, when I get my new camera, you will also know what I look like..... I'll look like you pissed off the wrong italian lol.

personally i'm the same in person or on the net, but i would guess i'm abit more open on the net, since there's no interaction and therefore u can't get slapped for saying something silly, cyberspace somewhat decreases the nervous levels i guess?
but still meeting ppl in person is always the best...

Personally, I am mostly the same on the internet or in real life, I am just a little wierder in person. I am always going to be wierd to other people, whether virtually or physically, because I have Asperger's Syndrome. However, I am a lot stranger face-to-face, especially if I am talking to an individual for the first time.
