I thought that Munich was really a great movie but I think that Crash had a deeper emotional impact, at least to me it did, which made it a better movie. However, I say that the absolute best movie of the year was Syriana.

Valleyman, are you serious? I thought Syriana was alright as a commentary, but as a movie it was just... boring. I walked away from that feeling somewhat confused as to what its point was. It was trying so, so hard to be esoteric and just ended up being inarticulate.

On the other hand, I found Crash to be engrossing, a wonderful movie in the technical aspects, and to have all sorts of readable social commentary.

Cant comment about Munich. Never got a chance to see it.

And I didnt watch the oscars... sigh.

    Syriana was great...

My favorite movies of last year included Munich, A History of Violence, Lord of War, Syriana, Unleashed, Crash, The Weather Man, Oldboy, Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, 2046, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, Jarhead, Memoirs of a Geisha, and The Constant Gardener. I've seen all but a few of the Oscar nominees...Munich is the best.

    What won Best Animated Film?

Whoa... The page is slowly expanding... That and everyone overrates Miyazaki. Yes, he's good, hell, great. But everyone just bow downs and lets him mount because of his name. Kind of like the new Star Wars movies.

I personally thought that the actor of Anakin could have done better, he just wasn't on par with how he did in Attack of the Clones.

I think Lucas should have waited for a kid like Freddie Highmore to come around...That kid can out act Johnny Depp!

attack of the clones was horrible. the acting was not good at all, except for ewan magregor. i kinda liked episode 3 more, it was much better and the acting was bearable. i hated hayden christensen as anakin. he is not such a good actor.

as for brokeback mountain, i thought it was overrated. i think its all hype because it is one of the first male cowboy lve story.
