Thread: Do Not Go See UltraViolet

king kong the movie is a good remake of the old king kong movie. but that does not make it a good movie at all. the old king kong movie wasnt even that good plot wise.

king kong had nice effects, but the story can be stupid at times and there was a lot of boring stupid scenes.

i didnt really care for king kong the ape that much, and i found myself rooting for him to die.

my cousin was laughing at king kong at the theater. he was rooting for him to die as well.

as for ultraviolet, i will watch it because it is milla jovovich.

whats odd is, she was born in the US and is an american, but she has an accent.

King kong took on forever! and u know he dies at the end

Ultraviolet was horrible on so many levels.

The chick couldn't act worth a shit.
She was also ugly.
The choreography for the fighting was horrible, she did way too much spinning.
I dont really like this new trend of using female action heroes (resident evil, aeon flux, underworld, etc.)
For 3/4 of the movie you dont know what the virus does to people.
When something unexpected happend there was almost no foreshadowing.

this is also a problem, another movie that didnt explain things clearing about this sort of thing was war of the worlds
if there was forshadowing then you would expect it to happen, duh!

if you wanna se a bad movie go and see "mind hunters" that movie was crap. its about a team of FBI investigator trainies doing a field test at an abandoned island town when all of a sudden a simple assignment becomes a deadly nightmare when a killer is discovered killer each member of the team with their own personal weaknesses. when people start dieing in the lame ass movie instead of acting like the criminal investigators that they are they instead decide to run around like scared chickens and break every rule of the "what not to do when your caught in a horror movie" guide book. whats worse is whenever someone decides to use their training to bring down the bad guy everyone else fingers them as the murderer. but the best line i ever heard in a movie was by LL Cool Jay after him and the other survivor have finished shooting the bad guy (hollywood cant make a movie where the bad guy doesnt die in the end) and says "i guess bullets were his weakness" it was so stupid i love it. XD

So Then the movie world should be dominanted by male action heros? And when has it started to be a trend anyway? More like action scifi movie trend if anything now because of the ability to use make stuff happen with CG.

I walked into the theatre expecting to see Equilibrium with a budget. That movie had a budget, but no Equilibrium. Also, you can have too much spinning, this movie proved it.

There were two action scenes I enjoyed: her being chased by the helicopter, and fighting the asians with the asian disease.
