My point is, its modern art. It shouldn't even be worth the paper it was made on. I think the kid should get a medal for trying to get rid of just one more piece of crap that is cluttering up an already crappy world. Bravo for him.

P.S. - I hope no one gets really offended. I'm only mostly serious. Slap on the wrist at most, in public, then a clap on the back once the cameras are gone.

-_- Jakko, my boy what are we going to do with... regardless, what the kid did was wrong.

I hate that double sided behavior....It's lame.

I would also like to say that not all modern art is bad. I have seen a lot of really neat statues and painting that you would call modern art and many of them are really good. There are a few that are a bit ridiculous, but as a whole I really don’t think that modern art is that bad.

Maybe, but then again, I really don't appreciate much art after the baroque period. But yeah, he was a little pissant kid that did something stupid, he's at a charter school, at least expel him, he is old enough to be responsible for what he does. I just enjoy a little flippancy every now and then, like everyone else.

Baroque period things are so gaudy (even baroque music is garish)...are you telling us you like gaudy things?

Either way I love most art....even baroque art...I just have to say it's gaudy.

I don't know, there's a beauty to it, a life in it, it seems so real, like it could jump out of the paper its on. Its a realism that I appreciate, that I think was perfected in the baroque period, that is not seem much afterword. And I agree, I don't like the flashy ones, I appreciate the softer toned examples of baroque. I'm really not into art that much, but I love how dabs of paint can look like something in real life, I guess.

I agree, art is good, but I believe philosophy and knowledge are better. To quote a poem with a few minor changes and I think you will understand my feelings about art : "The {art's} a fine and private place, but none I think do there embrace."

P.S. - To His Coy Mistress is such a perverted poem.

    Edit:
P.P.S. - Serenity, did you ever notice that we seem to take over threads without meaning to?

Puh, your poem is silly and makes a silly point.

Lots of poems are perverted... I love the guy love poems..

I don't really think you give art its proper due because it is both a form of knowledge and a philosophy....

Nah, read that poem. It like 400 years old, and if you read between the lines, it could make a sailor blush. And what I meant by that line is that art is fine in its own way, but I will neither do I care about it enough to spend an exorbitant amount of time perusing it, not does it have any real impact on me, like it does on many people. It just doesen't sink in on a personal level to me.
