heh. I saw it, original cast, a month after it came out. excellent. I truly recommend it.

I think Idina Menzel is still playing the Witch, which is good. Alas, Kristen Chenowith is no longer on the show, which is a major loss.

well. let me preface this. I've heard a SHITLOAD of musicals. This one friend and I used to collect the soundtracks and listen to them over, like mario kart. We were cool kids. SO, needless to say, I've heard Hairspray. And I hated the music. Maybe itd be better in theaters? i doubt it though.

Ah, I have friends in the school plays, and they recommend stuff to me that turn out to be pretty damn good. And then I get so overly excited, that I so badly want to see them.

[but I've only seen 3 broadway plays in my life so far. Darn.]

Wicked!!!! Those songs are very good for solos. I performed part of Thank Goodness (the part in the music book) for an exam. =P I saw it when it went on tour... *I* didn't think the singers were as good as the originals (unlike in Rent) but it was pretty good.

(Fifteen... don't know if that's quite old enough...)

I don't know if I want to see Hairspray or the Producers....probably should though =P

Spamalot's tickets are easier to get now, I think. I looked at some for March and they were available...

I've seen... uh... *counts on fingers* five, six Broadway shows...? I don't remember Beauty and the Beast, Cats was good, I've seen Rent twice, mentioned Wicked, enjoyed Fiddler on the Roof...

Oh! Seussical is an addictive musical that seems cheesy but is VERY good! (Though I *was* in it at school...)

lol. are you from around the city? I'm lucky living 45 min south at home, an hour and a half north from school. Its nice.

yeah... 15 is a little young, I would say (depending on your parents). But if you got a friend to go with you, it shouldnt be a problem.

    omg omgom ogmogmgomgomgogmo mo
Sweeney Todd. is. the fucking shit.

it is my most favoritest musical!! I LOVE Sondheim. I'm guessing youre going to see the one thats on Broadway now, with the actors being the orchaestra, as well.

I saw that, like, the week it came out. GLORIOUS. better in some ways, worse in others (compared to the original). But I still really enjoyed it.

Yes, of course. I'm going in April. ^_^

OH! I've seen Into the Woods, but that was in Stratford, so... but it was really good! I haven't heard much of Sondheim, but what I've heard is really good so I'm anxious to see it. (We're also seeing Tosca, an opera I've seen, but I'm looking forward to that too! n.n)

mmm, I'm not much of an opera buff. If I'm going to see a show, it'll be a musical or a play, not an opera. and Into the Woods is a really clever show.
im jealous, I wanna go to Sweeney Todd, too...
