I really did like Spider-man back then, until it started to get really, really lame. They eventually run out of ideas for the particular title, and ends up making mumbo-jumbo stuff. It's really a dissappointment...

That's another difference between most manga and comics. For many manga it is usually centered around a person and an event with a time frame. In stereotypical comics, it usually centers around a person who gains a power, but there's no time frame. Peter Parker became spiderman, but there's no specific overarching plot, is there? He just saves people as a hero, it's what he does. It's not like he was a normal person that got caught up in an event that will eventually end, he's a fictional superhero whose life is potentially infinite. Look at Monster; eventually Tenma had to catch up with Johan. Look at Berserk; eventually Gutts has to catch up with Griffith. Look at Gantz, eventually Kei will find out the purpose of Gantz, and perhaps prevent a wholesale invasion. Stereotypical superhero comics always lack this one thing.

    A foreseeable goal.

A goal that will end everything.

If you've read Neil Gaiman's The Sandman you'll know how good american Graphic Novels can be. They're just heavily underrated thanks to the endlessness of the phantom and his kind.

I guess the sad truth is that we only see the stereotypes...

Well, I guess it's a moot point anyway, after all, everyone and his brother know that Marvel is superior to DC. Until Elvis rises from the dead and sings rap music, make mine Marvel!

I knew there was a reason critics make parallels between Eminem and Elvis. . .otherwise that would mean marvel was better than DC, and i know thats gotta be a mistake. . .

Despite the fact that this site is dedicated to manga, believe it or not such a thread does or did exist. However, since chit chat is the wrong forum for requests (you fucking shit for brains n00b), your not going to find it here.
I saw the thread here, so I asked about it here. I also wasn't requesting that a download be put this site, so I thought it inappropriate to post it on this site's request section.

[Edit] And would you look at that, I've been a member here longer than you, you fucking shit-for-brains noob (unless of course you made a new name for some odd reason.) I just hardly ever post on the forums.

Many comic books are very well written, and have art that is out of this world. But it is true that for the super hero’s they can never die, they just get reinvented every couple of decades, but certain hero’s are worth keeping track of. It’s like following their myth or something.

Yeah, that thread was posted here on Chit Chat by martyr. But hey, 98 only joined in September, so what does he know? So you'll have to forgive him on his completely wrong statement. It's not like it's his fault he wasn't here back then.

true....american comics are not good...they just never stop.......first they let Superman died and then revive him....and then he had to fight with Imperiex and somehow he managed to win....I think american comics just don't have any story to tell (or sell??) anymore....unlike manga....the only one i like is stars wars comic.....the rest is just garbage....
