Thread: Family history

I wanted to know how many of you plp knows your familys history,im not asking only abt famous ppl,but those who have interesting or knows something abt their ancestors,there are a lot of ppl out there who dont know nothing abt their ancestors,im not asking for jokes like " im hercules great334timesgrandchild".Only those who knows abt there ancestors.
Ill start:
Im from the real Mori family that appeard abt 1000 years ago when the surnames were created in japan,the mori family was emperor of japan,and have a scrool that are written all the moris first childs that,from the first mori to his first child,and so on,till my grandfather,but sadely it wasnt passed on to my any of my grandad child,cause my mother was an only child and she married a foreigner,and the scrool cant be passed to non-japanese,and my dad dont want to get japanese citizenship.So my grandad passed to his brother and he passed to his childs.Sometimes i think that i really wanted that scrool*sobs

Down the Tracy line of my family a great grandfather of mine was one of the four who stabbed Thomas Becket Archbishop of Canterbury, on the 29th of December 1170.

My family history are full of scary mental people. On my father's side his

family grew there wealth by being mortision in other worlds they buried dead

people. It is creapy but his side is rich beacause of it. ALso all are heavy

drinkers to the point were they are never drunk, like Karen from Will & Grace

hmmm...i think the only famous person in my family is Mr. Hockey, Gordie Howe.

My family history, i did my genealogy/family tree years ago. French coming to Canada/New France in the 1600s then as the years goes by, mixed up a little with native americans. No one really special except the first one of my fathers side coming to Canada, he was a noble and participated in the government activities at the time. Did not have an important role though because and he's not famous at all.

I don't know my family. Therefore I can only assume they did something in the great cold north like ice fishing or something. Personally, I find that amazing.

I do know lots of computer engineers, however...

lol, i dont know my family that much, like digi ^^, not only that but i'm not imaginative like digi so i dont think all these things, oh yeah, i really dont care what my ancestors DID, i just care about what i will DO.... ^^ thank you ^^

Well I'm descended from two different sets of nobles with opposite histories. My father's side came from a clan of tyrants that lost all their wealth and were exiled and my mother's side came from a family that earned nobility in service to the king during an upheaval in which the usurpers tried to come after him but he was hidden away in an ancestral home of ours for weeks. In return they were titled and given an estate after the usurping clan was killed. Peace filled days came again to the sunny mountains and valleys of Kerala. The End.

I joke at the end, but yes, it is a true story.

Let's see on my dad's side of the family we were once very rich in Mexico and my great, great uncle was a favorite victim of Pancho Villa. We hate Pancho Villa and spit on his name. I have a newspaper from the early 1900's with an article about my uncle and what Villa did to him.

On my mom's side her cousin is Mike from the USC scholarship program "Swim with Mike". If any of you know about that program I'm sure you know the story. And yes he's still alive and does the swim every year to help earn scholarships for I think its disabled students at USC. GO TROJANS!!!
