I have like 130-140 volumes. I tend to buy retail ($8-$10) but I do buy online ($6-$7.50)sometimes. I would get more but I have no job or serious source of income... I only have like 1 gig of scanlations, but I have only read like 1/6-1/7 of what I have downloaded...
Remember if it doesn\'t rock you probably shouldn\'t be listening to it...

Hrmm, 51.1 GB and about 60 volumes. But if you also add in the comic books I have... I am probably responsible for anywhere from $4,000 ~ $10,000 in profits for the comic/manga/graphic novel genre over the last 20 years. There is no way in hell I could afford all of what I have downloaded and I think my contribution more than entitles me to read as I like.

well... no. not technically. dont pretend like youre in the right when you dl manga that is licensed. By your logic, I could go rob a bank and say, "well, ive been paying a lot of taxes for 20 years, so im entitled." You pay for what you get, and vice versa.

From where I buy my manga it cost 15.99
    Thats quite expensive.
Plus it takes time for the manga volumes to be realesed here.
If I get a chance to buy it I will
But until then I will get it from here.

I always buy the manga that I really like but I don't always have the money. Also the release is sometimes slower than online. If I like a series enough I will buy it eventually cause its better to have a hard copy and its not too much of a strain on the eyes compared to reading on the computer. I download but I also support the people who sell manga. Its kinda 50/50. In fact I think this benefits companies cause it actually influences me to buy more manga. There are some things I've read but can't find it in stores so I find where I can buy it online.

I do the same thing as you KingDarr. Anyway Aikido, I'm loving the blatant logic
that you use to make a point.

The normal price of licensed comic books where I live is considered quite reasonable; that is, roughly 1 US dollar per vol.
[However, with that sum of money we can spend it on a normal meal, too.]

These are the reasons I like to read the scanlated ones on the Net:
    1. It is not available in my place yet
    2. The release of that said series is extremely slower than a snail
    3. I'm too eager to just wait for the weekly magazines.

In the end, I'd buy them all.
