    Exclamation Banned Books!

I’m sure you all know about the famous banned book list.

But I felt the need to let everyone take another peek at it.

And comment on what books you think should be on this list and what books you feel don’t belong on this list.

Here is a link to the list.

I'd like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head. I hope to make the most of these hollow bones we become.
I raise a toast to the the souls that sang all along. I've been gathering friends to just to make some sounds,
before the ship goes down, I've been making amends by making the rounds before the whole world ends

Banning books is always wrong. Additionally, some of these banned books are great literary classics. For example, why the fuck would anyone in their right mind ban Macbeth or Nineteen Eighty-Four?

    Seriously people, what the hell.

Don't ban the book, judge based on it's popularity. That's why god gave us statistics.
Dear cousin choppitychop89, you were a good relative, though I hardly knew ye.

Books should never get banned. I believe everyone should read whatever they won't too. In highschool, i remember reading Death of a Salesman, a book that is banned in some schools in United States. I think it is a great book and i'm glad my highschool english teacher have it in his program.

Macbeth was banned for stereotyping the Irish race, and also for depicting certain elements of old culture that people wish to be forgotten..... What I don't understand is why the Anarchist's cookbook isn't #1 on any Banned Book lists.... Don't get me wrong, I love the cookbook, but I still acknowledge that it is a helluva lot more offensive than Tom Sawyer..... I think people need to realize that books are normally banned because they depict racial slures, but at the same time, the books bring to life the perspective of the people of that day and age, and show us how they thought and felt. Banning Books will never be justified.

Banning books is censorship and goes against the very idea of a free society. Some of those books are among my favourites - did they ban Nineteen Eighty-Four because it was too similar to modern society? XD Okay, on a serious note, that's just really pathetic. (Wow, I think only three of them are banned in Canada, and one is porn. o.O Yay us.)

Really... some of those reasons are laughable.
