Just wanting to see how other people feel about them. I think if youve been around long enough you know how I feel, but, in brief, I dont think that they are really "relationships" at all, because I think physicality is a necessary element in a relationship. I can argue this futher if someone wants to legitimately take up the opposite side. I really just want to get an idea about how the rest of the community feels about this concept.
I think they are stupid if you really call it a relationship and feel that you love this person. But if you're just playing around, it's fun... unless the other person falls for you, that is.

my last one and i first met on internet, but not in the 'YES IM HORNY I WANT A FUCKBUDDY NOW' terms.
he first asked about a model for the assingments for his school, and i said why not, lets meet someday (in a mirc channel which i was a regular member for 2 or 3 years).
so our first 'date' was in a cafe, and we have talked about our 'real' life and such, but nothing happened afterwards. (the relationship word was not in my mind whaaatsoever.)
2 weeks after we saw each other again in a party, he kissed me out of blue.
and the day after, we were a couple. for one and a half years.
but dating over the internet and meeting after the love-logs, its just too ridiculous.

but the difference was that i didnt meat him online. i met him in person ... or more like we lived really close, and we were friends. i met him during summer break when my family when back to Hungary to visit. He asked me out on the last freggin day ... 5am in the morning ... and at 8am i was heading off to the air port. talk about romantic -_-
nywayz we talked online nd all that stuff .. but there was a 9 hour difference ... and ... well iono we both got kinda laizy ... nd the gap between our emails got bigger and bigger .. nd finally after 2 months of no responce form him, i broke up.
a week later, he told me "i still love you and i miss you" and blah nd blah .... never got back with him. >__> kinda akward
i think online relationships could workout tho. if both sides mean what they say and do

It depends..... my friend Jared's brother had an online relationship, wherein he and a girl went out online for about two years. After a while, he thought it suitable that they should meet, mainly because she had never shown him her pic, although he had shown her his. He bought a ticket to her home town in Hawaii, and said he was coming to visit, even though she wasn't okay with it. In the end, she sent him a pic right before he left, and of course, she was a 450 pound behemoth. He was furious with her for lying to him, and never spoke to her again.
Either way, I support online relationships, as long as they go somewhere...
