However, it will not have the same effect on anyone who did not bear witness to the hypemachine and terrible failure of egomaniac John Romero. (Id software or not, some people need to notice when their stay in the industry is over. That is, the day they become more interested in playing games than they are in making them. Carmack became the face of Id software in my mind.)

I actually understood that joke...because I had that game. Ugly as ass with piss-poor playability to boot. Oh yeah it uses a game engine that's almost as old as some members of this forum.

I read most of those comics. Some I liked. I'm only adding this part to stay on topic.
