    Default Trip to Japan--

I'm planning a trip to Japan over the summer for like 2 weeks or so... Mostly for Architecture but I was hoping to get my group in some way into a anime design studio. Whether it be manga or an animation studio.

I was wondering if anyone here had contact information or any suggestions? I couldn't find any information online.

That would seem impossible. You also have the problem of the language barrier. And the fact that anime is a niche market in Japan.

i would want to learn japanese before i went to japan personally.

though my family makes fun of the fact im learning japanese... it makes it impossible to go to a japanese restaurant without them constantly throwing half baked sarcastic quips at me. and trying to make speak japanese to the waiter....

yeah i might wanna go to japan sooner or later, maybe not. id say tokyo but its probably overrated just like every other city in the world.

Tokyo isn't a city. There hasn't been a Tokyo city since they merged it into the prefecture back in the 40's.

Just think of it as a really small state, jam packed with people.

I've been to japan and it was good and all but that's because we had my uncle (i call all my dad's friends uncle) to take us around. Everything was more expensive than usual and yeah i agree with the others you won't get far without learning the language. As for getting into a studio, high chance of not happening, you know how busy they are.

I would love to go to Japan. My friend and I were joking around about saving money and flying off to Japan. I wish I could go but I can't afford it on my own right now. T_T
Oh well, for the mean time I might as well learn Japanese. I know a few sayings like:
    Ohayo gozaimasu- good morning
Anata-no namae wa? - What is your name?
Domo arigato gozaimasu- thank you very much.
    and
    Sayonara- Good-bye
