I really like martial arts, but don't seriously do them. I go to Han Moo Do right now, but due to my schedule only once a week. It would be nice to do it more often though.

I also did Jujutsu for two years, but didn't like the teacher (a military person) or the group (mostly middle-aged men).

I don't know any martial arts.

Can anyone tell me the order of the karate belts? Which one is the best and which one's the weakest?
If you deny this, then it's your fault.

At least where I live you start with a white belt, then yellow, orange, green, blue, brown and then black. There are ten levels of black belts, but I don't think there's more than two or three people in the world with at the highest level.

A teacher of mine once told something interesting, though: according to him, colourful belts were a western invention; they had black belts for the masters in Asia, but the rest were all white. I've been thinking that's the way it should be. It's not like anyone's going to be impressed by my yellow belt, so what do I need it for?

    Tang Soo Do.
Should be around blackbelt 1st degree by now, but... school's been a bitch lately, so I've not been able to get in and class for the past 2 years, so I'm still a red belt 3rd degree.

Anywhoo, I'm thinking of taking some offensive oriented martial arts.
Though, this is one of the nicest ones out there for defensive, seeing as it combines the best movements, techniques, and stances from all the varied styles.

Also, woo for korean peasants fighting off the yoke of totalitarian regimes.

are there any styles that specialize in weapons only instead of hand to hand???
