well. do you? What is the nature of God? a creator? a shaper? omniscient? omnipotent? gone? God's purpose? and why do you think that? before you answer this question, actually think about your response. i know, its asking a lot. question the very reason you believe what you do. is it because thats how you were raised? because thats what you want to believe? faith? or just what you think would be the "cool" thing to think? I think a lot of people are aethiests just because they want to say they dont believe in God, but in reality, they havent thought about it at all. and after you write your response, read it over again. and see if thats what you really think. does what you wrote resonate with your instinct? and if it doesnt, delete it, and start again. or dont post. but no bullshit, cuz then youre just a pretentious, arrogant blowhard.
Heres how I feel. I choose to believe in God. Its a matter of faith, for me. I consider myself an agnostic, so i dont know for certain in my own head if God exists or not. I choose not to decide one way or another. but, regardless, i have some sort of faith. my God is omniscient, but has no power to interfere. I believe in evolution. I do not subscribe to an intelligent design theory. I think that organized religion only separates people from God, beyond a certain point. but despite that, i do have faith, and that is something that science cannot account for. science shows us what powers operate on our earth. but the God i believe in does not do that. so how can science explain God? it cant. and it never will.
and somehow, i think that too much science will only make us more like robots. and less like people. hope and faith are inseperable from our very nature. we have that for a reason. to my mind, its a reason that science cant explain.
