What part about it - people exercising their demon's publicly, or about the 'I'm a male who got raped' bit?
Gotta say that I don't really care. I mean, I don't have any big dark secrets from my past. I didn't have a bad childhood or anything. I don't really relate to these people.
If chatting about this on a forum helps the people, then good for them.
No I mean the idea of the thread in general, with admitted rapists sharing stories about what they did. Not just the accidental/remorseful ones but the guys like "I've raped a dozen women and I'd do it again" types.
Yeah, I must've given up before I got to that part.
There are lots of complete retards online. If a thread heads that way that should close it. It's not achieving anything. You've either got real rapists bragging, or 12yr olds pretending to be rapists bragging. Either way sounds like it shouldn't be there.
Or they should moderate it accordingly (are there mods on reddit?)...
I did not read anymore than a dozen of the comments and personally it makes me feel sad, I do not like reading about such things. It's a shame that so many people are abused, and that in many cases from what I've read in books and online from other people, it seems many abusers were abused themselves and if you look at the whole picture you see nothing but abuse occurring on each side. I hate to say such a thing since it makes me feel like I am sympathizing with abusers, I just feel bad for both sides. Just from reading some of the dozen comments about abusers already in jail and not really getting the help they need, one commenter mentioned someone being released in 2015 who did not think he did anything wrong, I see a ton of people just waiting to re-offend once they are released and many more victims that will be created until these people are not sent to prison but treatment clinics who can work with them and help them re-enter society. Not sure if anyone else will agree with me since this is kind of out there, but just my thoughts.
I agree with you, there's always two sides to a story.
You mention that many abusers were abused at some point, yet society still paints rape and abuse as a mainly male on female thing, with thousands of female support groups and tax money diverted to the cause, yet for the most part society just seems to tell men to suck it up and consider themselves lucky they got free sex.
oh hai! you moved to reddit too? =D
I remember that thread. I didn't read much of it cause of this thread. http://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/co...he_askarapist/
