Eco Discs
Has anyone here ever used one before. I used it for the first time today and my dvd player wouldn't read it. According to: http://www.ecodisc.org.uk/download/E...patibility.pdf my dvd player is compatible with it... Not only wouldn't it read it, I couldn't eject it. I ended up ejecting it strangely by putting in another ecodisc on in the same drive, the second got semi stuck and they both popped out lol. Never using an eco disc again. Flimsy as hell too.
This is on my macbook pro btw. Apparently pc people have less troubles.

From what I read, it didn't say it works with macs...

Never even heard of an eco disc before, sounds like a good (if silly eco nutter) idea, but only if it costs me less. I'd also be worried about how they perform/last at higher drive speeds.

Never heard of it either...use few CDs for my stuff anyway, hard drive is the way to go!

I got the eco disc from ImagineFX magazine. It's a digital arts magazine which comes with a dvd with tutorials and demos. Anyways I got it to work at school on the macs there. They're cheap and flimsy. made out of cardboard lol

Zipdrive, is the way to go.

Tape drive ftw.
Old school.
Aren't normal CD's recyclable?
