Swinging a Broadsword is a pain in the ass. I had a real one in my hand once. Those things are heavy as shit.

I like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head. I hope to make the most of these hollow bones we become.
I raise a toast to the the souls that sang all along. I've been gathering friends to just to make some sounds,
before the ship goes down, I've been making amends by making the rounds before the whole world ends

More titties and chainmail.
I bought the books and the first season on DVD, but I just can't be arsed to start them. Maybe it's because I'm hooked on Downton Abbey at the moment.
I got bored waiting for the second season, so I also got the books. I enjoyed them. Now I'm bored waiting for the last 2 to come out.
Strangely enough seeing the characters in the TV series didn't ruin them for me. All too often if you do that, you keep picturing the characters as they were in the series. Once I started reading the books, I forgot what the characters looked like (except for Eddard, but that's Sean Bean, so it's a different thing) and just think of how they're described in the books.
