Thread: Egypt today

Out of interest, what's the general consensus in your part of the world about the issues in Egypt?

Well I can't speak for all of the Middle East but the youth in Jordan, and even some of the older people, are all for the Egyptian protests. Mubarak has been running a terror campaign every election. Everytime somebody else runs they mysteriously drop out or get into car accidents...for thirty years though?!

So yeah people think he needs to go. My parents think he needs to go.

I don't like to be to black and white on issues though because Mubarak has held a relative peace in Egypt but we cannot say how it would be if he wasn't there. Everybody also wonders about a new Islamic regime being formed if he's kicked out. Something not even muslims are enthusiastic about.

Mubarak is a prick, and Egypt is fucked -.-"
