Yeah guys, stop reviving really old threads if you have nothing important to add.
Try creating new and interesting topics.
I'm close to banning some of you.
Agreed.
Like I said in the "we are the last generation" thread, I reckon that some (or most/all?) of those accounts are the same person. I don't understand how 4 different people can misunderstand Isaalroc's opening post in the exact same way, and provide the same rehashed responses.
The other guy is Kethal. I suppose camaway and sehqal1020 were also doing this. I just figured that they were all bots. Some of their posts are priceless though -
Or
I find it hard to believe that real people would write things like this. Then again, I don't see bots holding conversations. I suppose they could be trolling.
indeed they are all fucking bots, if you browse the posts they make you'll see that majority of it is some random stuff about random movies. Such as "movie [insert name] is great, it's a very good movie by [insert director's name], blah blah". they never respond to posts about their necroposting and all their posts are vague as hell. Finally, they had sigs with links, which should be a dead giveaway.
Just ban the fuckers, even if by some tiny chance they are actual people, they seem too retarded to be a part of a community anyway.
I'm pretty sure they are not bots, they're all from India (so English isn't their first language). I have banned one guy who insisted on advertising a holiday website in his sig, but the rest of the guys aren't really deserving of a ban (although that will change if they keep resurrecting old threads).
The majority of ad spammers I've banned recently were actually Russian speaking bots.
Just so everyone knows, I am keeping an eye on this situation and I will ban if I see fit, but currently since they seem to be creating more activity than anyone else here, I'm willing to let them carry on. For all we know, they are trawling this forum is an attempt to increase their grasp of the English language and may not have a grasp of our forum etiquette yet.
Those are a new generation of spam bots, also known as Facebook bots.
I was already wondering how you can distinguish this new generation of bots from real life humans.

Where's Steal when you need him for once in a year...
He's in Germany.
I'm more interested in where CPR is. Seemingly AWOL.
