At a bodega, but I would hurry, or get it from a state thats not banning it.

I really like them, they dont taste like shit and they get the job done, this whole argument that the labels make it targeted to underage kids and what not is bullshit.

Ya each one's damned strong. My German/Russian/American/Irish best buddy can barely handle one full can.

here in cali we "were" able to get them in places like 7/11

Honestly its pretty devastating. It's 12% alcohol (so not that bad) but mixed with 80mg of caffeine (equal to one full 2liter bottle of coke) AND Taurine. If you want a similar combo try the new Nitrious monster (2000mb taurine) + 1-2 glasses of rock cpr mixed in and see if you can handle that

As for LIIT they're all supposed to have the 5 mixed drinks. If its a non-cheap bar then thats 5 shots of the standard 5 diff liquors. Its really the tequila that fucks most people up. I've tried without tequila (I bartend on the side) and just 4 drinks and it wasn't nearly as bad

With tequila just one drink and I was good to go the entire night

The problem with LIIT is that in Australia, it's against the law to serve a drink containing more than 2 shots of alcohol (that value is just from memory, I could be wrong). A lot of bars will refuse to do more than 1 shot. That's why most places that can serve you a LIIT will only do a half-shot of each, even that is more than they're supposed to serve.

None of those other drinks mentioned in this thread are available here either, which is unfortunate because you guys have piqued my interest.

I like LIIT. I'm not a massive coctail drinker and have trouble putting away enough beer to get me hammered. Generally I'll stick to a beer or two and then start on the whiskey. The other option is something like LIIT. 3 of those and I'm pretty much done for the evening. As long as they go with cola tonic rather than coke on tap, it tastes pretty good.

I understand the idea of banning these booze and coffee drinks. I suppose there is always the whole 'if you're stupid enough to do it, you deserve what you get' arguments, but let's face it, no one at varsity is really considering consequences.

Being tea total I don't get the appeal of getting hammered. Merry and relaxed I can understand, but absolutely trashed just seems like a waste of time and booze and you might end up doing something you will regret (assuming you even remember it).

I'm completely against alcopops, I think their deceptive strength makes them too open to abuse and encourages irresponsible drinking (but hey, I live in a country were binge drinking and alcohol abuse has been allowed to become rife among the young)..

It's like legalized narcotic drugs without narcotic effects! Well. Technically no longer legal since they're banned here in SoCal.

Hey, part of living for many is to simply get fucked up in as many different and often foolishly dangerous ways as possible.

I'd prefer to stick with coitus. Natural, traditional, healthy, instrumental to all forms of life. Well, not instrumental the way I do it but still. Probably should technically be coitus interruptus.

EDIT: Haha it was announced just last night that 4Loko has been officially banned here as well. They're now campaigning for its mass ban throughout all the states now.

Can't believe how ridiculous this has gotten. Apparently NY initially started the banning bandwagon

...I know you guys were talking about Long Island Iced Teas and funnily enough, here on Long Island... no one really drinks them, and if you do order one, everyone immediately knows youre plan is to get absolutely shitfaced. They have a dangerous reputation here.
