On a more serious note, yes. I would shoot back. Why? Because I treat everyone equally, regardless of their "handicap" or not. Fucker shot at me, so I'll put one right between his eyes.
Edit: Besides, why would I even care if someone is handicapped? That's their problem, not mine. To me, they're just another dumbass.

I do believe handicapped people need some special accommodations, too. They don't have the same capabilities as normal, healthy people, and that isn't something we should just ignore and tell them to deal with or anything. They should get the help they need. But that's not the same thing as letting them do whatever they want without consequences (and some mentally handicapped people can understand consequences to an extent, just like small children). You wouldn't let a kid get away with doing things like this even if the kid was too young to understand. If they couldn't learn from consequences, then they wouldn't be put in such a situation. To use a more extreme example, schizophrenics who commit serious crimes aren't just let out onto the streets because they couldn't be found guilty due to their disorder. They're committed. And until they can prove they're better (e.g. taking their meds... and, um, that's pretty unlikely for the most serious of crimes) or they serve some time, they're not getting out. A mentally retarded person who commits a serious crime isn't getting better, and they wouldn't be on the street, either. The law doesn't allow them to get away with these things. So why would we? The rules have to be followed.
