Thread: High School happened way too fast...

I remember entering High School and within the first week I was complaining about how I wanted to leave and now I find myself wishing High School could last a bit longer. I know I am one of the younger members and most of you guys are in College or already done with it, but my questions or choice of topics I suppose are

How did you guys spend your senior year of High School?

Classes you took?

Colleges you looked at?

btw Greetings and Salutations all. Its been a while.

EDIT: Scratch that, I got HS confused with college.

I spent my last year of HS dealing with two girls I as dating at the same time and taking five math courses to graduate on time.

I spent my grade 12 lunches in the computer lab on StopTazmo. See post count.

Anyway, to answer your questions:

How did you guys spend your senior year of High School?

Hung out with friends outside the bandroom. Played Advance Wars, talked about life/philosophy/girls/video games/books/whatever. I miss those days, I really do, being able to see all of your friends, every day. Nowadays I have to schedule meet-ups and it's just...a lot of hassle, I guess. Come to think of it, I've only really kept in touch with two of my friends from high school. The rest I've lost to the toll exacted by time and distance.

Classes you took?

I'll assume you meant high school here. In grade 12 I took...AP Economics, AP Calculus, Math 12, AP English 12, Chemistry 12, Physics 12, French 12, and Philosophy 11

Colleges you looked at?
Only one, really. And it ended up being the one I'm currently attending.

The website of one went down, the website of another one was too confusing, so I only really applied to one.

I can't remember any off the top of my head. I'll get back to this one...maybe.

About HS that I remember...

- Its library: that place I bury my face for ideas for my stories.

- The start of my manga and anime collection.

- Classes that I was FORCED to attend without having any liking to them (except Geo); I really hate that Math teacher and hers was the only class where I got barely a pass in test/exam.

Can u believe that it took more than a hour for the prof to find the class. He said he got lost. And this is the person whose book are used as a preference by many

Senior year of HS was a breeze for me, instead of worrying about classes all my memories are of the stuff involving my friends and all their drama. I took pretty cool classes my last year but nothing really sticks in my head, just the frivolous stuff like my gigantic crush on my English professor and not giving a shit about AP exams since I knew I was gonna get a 2 on the two that I had (Physics and something else).

College wise was a bit of a mixed bag. I wanted to go to the State University of New York at Buffalo but I didnt get in. As a matter of fact from the 7 schools I applied to I only got into one, the quote/unquote "dream school" they always tell you to apply to - Polytechnic University. I guess I did spend some good time college hunting and had a great college tour that focused on southern black universities like Shaw and Florida A&M University (FAMU is great btw).

Trust me if you think life is strange now leaving highschool youre in for HUGE surprise when you discover how insane college life is. I always regretted alot of the things I did/didn't do in high school but now that I look back, I was basically an infant back then, college is really where you become who you are for the rest of your life.. remember that. Don't be afraid of anything, try everything, and trust me you will not regret it even if you feel like shit in the morning.
