More over, the attacks that Imam Rauf is a radical are funny, especially considering, he worked for the FBI since 1999, and promoted the bush administration travelling with republicans(many whome seem to be silent in talking about their connection to Rauf) his statements on U.S. foreign policy being a root cause of 9/11 was said by nearly every left AND rightwing politicians. That supporting foreign dictators creates great anger. So he really wasn't supporting terrorism, just stated what is often already stated alot.
He's a sufi, a group which is hated by salafis(saudi style islam) and hated by extremists.
There is nothign wrong with being opposed to the mosque due to sensitivity, but now the debate has gotten really out of hand, with attacks against the founders, attacks that somehow this place will be a terror training camp or victory monument.
