I'm off to Japan for a short holiday. Anything to recommend other than the usual?

As for me, I've been hanging around with some friends. I went to Nara and Kobe last week. Oh, the Gion Matsuri in Kyoto was very interesting. There were many people making chants and making some sort of procession the entire day, and in the night everyone was yelling "Faito! Faito!". It was so much fun.

In 2 weeks, I'll be going to Tokyo, and of course, I'll attend to Comiket.

Well, you definitely cannot miss out on Tokyo. That place is a must. As of now, I wouldn't tell you to go to Hokkaido, since it's summer. You go there during the winter for maximum enjoyment. If you go to Osaka, you can try checking out Osaka castle, or you can go to Shinsaibashi or Umeda if you feel like shopping, or you can try Nipponbashi (aka. DenDen Town) to check out Osaka's Akiba. If you go to Nara, you can do the Yama-no-be-no-michi, or check the Daibutsu... in fact, if you go to Nara, just enjoy the whole place. It's a very traditional city. If you go to Kyoto, you can try the Philosopher's Path, you can also go to Kinkakuji and Kyoumizudera. Hiroshima is also quite nice. You definitely have to check out the A-bomb dome, and you could also try going to Miyajima.

Hm, somehow I think I came off a little angry there or maybe you felt I did, which I'd like to clear up and say I was only joking.

Btw, you should stop by the arcades while you're there. Go to Big Box Arcade.

I've been there. Arcades here, unlike in my country, are so much fun. I love them.

It's hard to describe since it's a country I had, honestly, had never pictured myself at. So, I was amazed by almost every single thing. The monuments, the people, the food... so many things, I have no idea where to begin.
