Don't really have any experience with it, you sort of need something for other people to be jealous of first.
I was going to kick someones ass for touching my girl. However, I realized she wasn't my girl and then broke it off a few weeks later. Sometimes in life, there is shit you just can't have.

can't say I remember being jealous. Envious yes, but not jealous. When I envy someone for something that I think is important, then i just work towards it myself. waste not want not
I've realized a long time ago that I'm pretty much the best dude in the world, so I don't really see the need to envy anybody else.
So the answer is arrogance. You should try it.
