We shall always remember...
For me, I was in eight grade. None of the teachers wanted to tell us what was going on so rumors started spreading. One rumor said that 6 planes got hijacked simultaneously. Another rumor said that one plane crashed into the towers and a helicopter was flying close by to look for survivors and then ended up crashing into it itself. And the worse one of all was this; if you were picked up by somebody it meant that somebody in your family died. Half of the students in the school were picked up and sent home that day. The only teacher with enough guts to tell the class the truth was my math teacher. she just got off the phone and looked extremely distressed. her brother... was in the towers. I thought everything was absurd... it just couldn't be possible. There's just no way they were gone just out of the blue. When I got home, I ended up just gluing myself to the news stations for endless hours.
2009....
and I still remember. you?
RIP

I completely forgot about the incedent until someone on another forum posted "9/11 never forget" and then I had to think hard as to what month the 9th one was. Wasn't all that effected by 9/11 at the time, New York was just another big city to me and the disaster was just something that happened to other people I didn't know.

Its long gone, and on the same year 4000 people died on a flood in china.
Dont cry on shit every year....
It was after school in TV, so I watched it. (time difference: morning NY -> afternoon Europe)

Well, as for me I saw it on the afternoon news, IIRC. There was a special report and everything, and I pretty much went WTF for a moment.
To be honest though I remember all the bullshit surrounding 9/11 more clearly than the event itself, and I have to say that the "Never Forget"attitude that exists in the states is way over the top.
While 3000 dead people are a lot there is no rational reason to remember 9/11 any more than other crimes of similar scale, and those happen prerry much every year. It seems that it's only when westerners are involved that they get media attention though, which is pretty disrespectful.
But back on track, I don't think I'll forget 9/11, no. RIP all who died.

Well, I was kind of little at that time, but anyway , RIP!

and after the event ..
a bunch of people got bomb to death somewhere in the land full of sands...
but no body cares about them.

Over 100.000 civil victims in Irak already.
Go USA.
I am pro Irak war, and was, but still... dont whine about 3000 when somewhere else there are way more people dieing.
But of course the 100.000 victims over there are just stupid sandman right, and 3000 in NY are civilized westerns who are at least 1000 babarians worth each.
