so, Eric (he's black) gets convicted of rape charges against a victim whose blood alcohol level was nearly lethal. The victim barely remembers anything that night.

no semen from eric was found on the girl. The semen that was found was from a jealous white boyfriend (who wasn't even a suspect)

no markings were found on eric

white jury

white judge.

go figure.

what evidence??... testimony from a hevily drunk girl with no memory of what happen, semen that was not from the convict.. fdrom what i read there's no such thing exist

Yeah, the jury system is a really fucked up way of conducting a court of justice.

You pick a bunch of people from those who are too lazy or too stupid to find an excuse to skip jury duty, then let the lawyers remove everyone left who might have some ability of critical thinking (i.e. people that are hard to fool with lawyer bullshit), and then you expect them to deliver some kind of fair verdict?

And the worst thing is that this is all so goddamn obvious when you look at the statistics (especially the fact that black people on average get harsher punishments for the same crimes than whites), but nobody in power even tries to change any of it.

Again one sees with how little sense the world is ruled.

I wasn't in court, so I can only give a biased opinion that he should appeal.

That's why I'm happy that to even sit in the judging body of a trial in Sweden, you have a 4 year old (I belive it is) Education on your back, the desition is reached by the judge aswell. All parts of it are educated in the proceedings and know how to filter through "lawyer bullshit".


Also.. about that case... I'm once again happy I'm happy I'm not american...
