Thread: Social Networking

I have nothing better to do, so why not.

Here's a simple question:
How many of you use some or all of these evil social networking sites?
I realize threads like these have popped up here before, but no one likes necroing, and the stats most likely have changed.

Give your opinion on said sites, and if you'd like, you can even share your nick/site/anything in hopes that someone here desperate enough for friends will send you a friend request.

Feel free to mention anything I might have left off. Some nice and kind mod might come along and add that to the list as well.

If there was an option for "none" I would have voted.

I have a small group of extremely close friends who I keep in contact with IRL and using MSN/Windows Live Messenger, and I have no desire to maintain a larger social network. I guess you could call me a loner, that's true to a certain extent, but it's more like "imprinting". I've been close friends with these guys for over 10 years, and I just don't feel the same sort of attachment to any other people I meet.

Maybe I need to see a psychologist? o_O

I have an acc on blogger, and one on Deviantart... But the second one is due to the cencorship, the first one mostly for comments on friends blogs, and both are inactive so didn't count them.

Freakish. Exactly how I feel, though I am a member of Deviant art and facebook myself. But I only signed up...Hmm. wait, I cant even remember why I signed up >_>

I have no facebook, myspace, livejournal, xanga, blogger, friendster, twitter, deviant art or gaia online accounts.

...Oh wait, I had a deviant art account. It's dead, though.

I have accounts on all of them, but I only use a couple.

I was never very into social networking. In my opinion this stuff has changed the internet...

And I dont think that the value of a person is how many "friends" he has.
Mainly thats the whole reason for their existence. To measure how much a person is worth.

And I dont like being traceable. My friends know my ICQ/MSN/MobileNr. so they can reach me.

i don't really have any major enemies that i know of, so i don't mind linking all of my online/IRL stuff to a single trackable username. i'm not "addicted" to social networking, but for someone that's too busy to chill with friends 24/7, it's useful to keep tabs on what's going on
