The pair face being trapped in children's bodies for their rest of their lives as treatment in the form of hormone injections would normally be given before the age of 16 or 17.

A simple, one-year, course of hormones costing just £18 per day could have allowed them to grow in height and develop sexually.

But the teens parents have always been too poor to fund the injections.

So basically we have a male and female sibling pair of seemingly eternal children. I'm a little happier with the body I have now.

Sorry I don't have time to read the whole article right now, so I'll ask a question instead (I'll read it when I get home though, I prmose):
Are they stuck kids because of some birth defect, or they were treated with hormones to stay kids (physically)? And if so, who did this to them, why did their parents allow it, and what's up with treating them with hormones to get them back to normal again?

They got a hormone disorder, parents was too poor to buy the injections to save them from being kids forever.

Some probably dream of being "young", like them, forever, even though its only an illusion of eternal life. Must suck, they probably want what all other people got their age, parties, sex, etc. They cant even drive a car being so small >_>

i wish i am shorter.... it's hard for me to found clothing that fit.. all the thing that fit me is imported and expensive... i don't even have any shoes except the pairs (and it's a a bit small, and i only wear them when there's a rule that said i have to), everywhere i go (even to campus, party, anywhere) i only use a pair of sandals. i was lucky to found it, it was specially made and cost a fortune though, the only jacket that i have now look like an army veteran have use it for 20 years but i still use it... i sleep on a futon on the floor. i couldn't sleep on bed because it's a little small for me... everywhere i go people look at me as if i'm from a circus or something... but i still live my life just like i want to day after another..

as you can see a lot of you out there are fortunate but didn't even realise it, you should praise the lord for it everyday...

Reminds me of a Law and Order: SVU episode. Twenty something with growth disorder looks like ten year old and falls in love with former pedophile. Law is on their side, Stabler loses his mind for a bit.
