    February 5, 2009 (Computerworld) Yesterday, Google Inc. released the real-time location tool Google Latitude and opened up a new world of location-based services (LBS) for both PC and mobile phone users.

    Latitude enables you to track friends, family, employees and so on and vice-versa in real time....

    Man, this stuff is getting out of hand. I don't see why anyone would bother using this, unless they're stalking someone.

    It's harmless. The only way for someone to track you is if you personally install the software on your mobile phone, then give another person permission to track you. You can even disable tracking at any time, so you don't get caught at the titty bar by your wife.
