Circuit City would like to thank all of the customers who have shopped with us over the past 60 years. Unfortunately, we announced on January 16, 2009, that we are going out of business.

This almost made me ... cry. And I'm not joking for once.
It's so heartbreaking. This place was one of my sanctuaries.
Now it's gone.

R.I.P. to Circuit City and any other stores and businesses that have to now close.

Screw them. They wouldn't wheel and deal. That's why I buy from J&R.

I went their close out deals and it sucked. Nothing was one sale.....

Ahhhh, good ol' days playing flight sim and midtown madness at Radio Shack...

That said, I never actually bought anything there. Overpriced shit is overpriced, and that's ultimately what brought them down. That, and the encroachment of stores like Future Shoop and Best buy.

Funny story.

My local radio shack is closing down. I imagine it's because they don't sell anything really computer releated and they're the size of half a department in Wal-Mart. (Who sells most of, if not everything they sell.)

To be honest, I'm not sure if I've ever stepped foot inside of a Circuit City before.

Same thing happened to Woolworths in the UK. I still couldn't care, since all I ever got at Woolies was bad service, high prices, and JML adverts left, right and center.

Yeah and 20% off overpriced shit is STILL overpriced. They only had a few real deals when I last checked and those were for things not worth buying anyway.
