What's funny is that I heard about this on NPR first, and they were reporting it as a Charlotte plane first and foremost. I didn't know it was in NYC until I read it on the BBC.

Since when did they train birds to attack airplanes..

I'd be funny if they could. Apparently theres no way to stop a bird attack on a plane, all you have to do is hope it doesnt get sucked into the engine or break the hull.
