Is there a back-up of the ST threads lying around somewhere?

Yes there is, there are always redundant back ups in case of hardware failure, this is something done normally by the service provider. But these are mirrored (the data is identical) so the question is whether the changes can be undone and the deleted posts recovered (I would imagine so in the short term).

I lack the required English skills to write interesting tutorials on coding.

@R3d - interesting tutorials on coding? Like fun times with accounting, I don't think it exists irl.
My mess - got a short Easter holiday coming up. Got work stuff due. Erm. One of these will have to take priority...

RISING GASOLINE PRICES

I'm crapping myself over a possible speeding ticket now.
I was driving round a bend on a down hill slope in a 30 limit and I think I may have hit 32 when I saw police bike with a radar gun. I usually always try and stay below the speed limit there, because people regularly cross there, but what's annoying is that no one coming the other way bothered to flash their lights to warn me.

It can't be much of a ticket if you were just 2mph over the speed limit?
I've been caught doing 140kph in an 80 zone. It was expensive. I suppose they could've taken my licence away instead, so I guess it was a win...
