# Thread: The Futility of Life

1. hahaha mgs. that's a funny proof.

and on a serious note, meh... meaning of life.... err... that's why I turn to religion. Meh, it's not for everyone, but I enjoy it.

Division by zero makes me a sad mathematician.

And as for the meaning of life, it obviously is to fall in glorious battle and go to Valhalla.

no one ever said the purpose of life was to be remembered. if you want to be, do something about it.

if you want to know your purpose, turn to religion, i guess.

Exactly, we're not here for any great purpose, we were just born, we live and then we die, there doesn't have to be any reason behind that and anyone who thinks there should be is weak minded and insecure.

As for people forgetting me, who cares? I won't give a shit, I'll be too busy being dead.

3. (a + b) = 0

Therefore, 1 + 1 = 0, meaning, whatever you add to your life, whatever you do, you'll still end up dead, zero, kaput, nada. This proof, of course, is as cracked up as I am. So don't take my word for it. Go out and find the ever elusive answer to that question.
(a+b)*(a-b) = aa+ab-ba-bb
ab = ba
aa+ab-ba-bb = aa-bb = a-b

Oh, I remember! 42!

9. I was trying to prove that it was (a - b) = 0, not (a + b) = 0.
Dante also proved me right, I just showed my working and further simplified the answer (in this case aČ - bČ = a - b).
