All I can say is, lol.
It must be quite a suprise for the parents actually hearing those comments when they watch their child playing with the toy. But its not like those kids actually can comprehend the comments made by the toy. xD

Teletubby dolls were saying "Faggot, faggot, bite my butt".
    I want that one.

going with the article, it doesn't seem to be anything new.

Earlier this year, Florida parents claimed that a Tickle Me Elmo doll, another Mattel product, made death threats against their son, James.

Mother Melissa Bowman said that with a squeeze of its fuzzy belly, the Sesame Street character said: "Kill James".
In 2006 a mother complained that a Mattel Little Mermaid doll called her daughter "a slut".
the way this sounds, you'd think it's some kind of horror movie, toys suddenly talking and saying weird stuff. except that in the movies no one believes them. so next time, characters in horror movies should just go to mattel. they'd investigate it "just to be sure". haha.

and how the heck would elmo know that kids's name?!

    Parents are allways overprotective.

James parents however seems to have angerd elmo somehow. It is never good to insult someone who makes dolls...

the same way they figure out yours

Anyway the voice on those talking dolls are very digitized and could be misinterpreted by people for anything. Some of them even said that the kids were trying to make the doll skip to the next words making the doll talk gibberish. They're probably used to hearing those stuff. thats why they think the dolls are saying it.
