Okay, here's the question: How many of you think that the Republicans mudslinging tactics are finally starting to have degrading effect on their own supporters' character?

Is this just overblown or is there really a growing hatred between the parties that's gotten to the point where it can't even be controlled by a public setting anymore?

Personally, I'm a little afraid of how bad this is going to get. I worked with people and live with people who think and act like this crowd. I'm not looking forward to leaving the beautiful landscapes of the South, but I can't deal with this kind of bigotry for much longer; not while I'm voting for Obama.

I hope the secret service will pay a visit to the morons who think it's OK to call for the death of a presidential candidate. Then again, the majority of the blame lies with the people who have been lying about and smearing Obama for the past months.

And yeah, I'm going to say it right out: Fuck John McCain. There are some things you don't do in a democratic election, and one of them is to incite violence against your opponent. Intentional or not, McCain and Palin obviously have convinced some of their supporters that it's OK to threaten the life of Obama, even to the point that McCain himself got booed when he described Obama as a decent man.

I honestly think that McCain has unleashed something really ugly here, and I hope I'm wrong but it wouldn't surprise me if this will result in violence.

I still can't believe the rest of the world lets you Americans vote. How dumb does your country have to be for political parties to think mudslinging is a good method of gaining votes (lol hypocrasy)?

There is (ample) evidence (loads of matching IPs) to suggest that 4n0n was actually Morten, and from Germany (hence 4n0n's perma ban).

Fortunately it seems like it doesn't.

And while this isn't a clean sweep yet, there is a plausible possibility that the democrats will get the presidency, 60 or more senate seats and a 50 seat lead in the house, and that pretty much means that the GOP will be out of power for at least 4-8 years, and maybe more depending on how well the dems do their job.
