I was actually working out and going to the gym... Well, I did it for a few months, but recently I've been too overwhelmed with school stuff that I have no more time to do it.
My roommates (all girls) have been pretty good in terms of exercising. One of em likes to wake up at 6:30 am and goes to the gym for 1.5 hours. She's pretty strong too.. at least lifting 100lbs.
Here's the basic advice any personal trainer will tell you. In one sitting you should do at least
20 minutes cardio.
20 minutes weights training.
And you should do this at LEAST 3 times a week, non-consecutive days. For cardio, I recommend doing the elliptical. It's a full body work out and that gets you sweating pretty fast. The weight training part... I'm no expert at, but I'm sure just using the gym equipment would be adequate enough.
