Tell me, now that a kid invented the process for biodegrading plastic and another outtech'd the solar energy community...when are people going to stop assuming age is in direct proportion to knowledge and ability?
Why should one not, in absence of other knowledge, assume something that holds for the great majority of cases? What would the alternative superior assumption be?
I still remember the days when kids would get praised for making sand castles.
It's sad, but that's not the world we live in anymore. Kids have no time to just stuff around and play. Now days you have to work hard at school, so you can go to university. That way you can get a degree and maintain a middle class lifestyle. Schools are way too competitive. Kids freak out over stress. I knew 2 guys in my final year that got institutionalised. This shit is out of control. Kids should still have time to climb trees and laze around. No wonder everyone is so stressed out - the rat race starts in primary schools.
