It was, for the US. But Ike is still coming and will be cat 3 by the time it hits.

To the comments about wooden houses in the US and New Orleans. New Orleans was fine this time around. We got lucky because the new higher level levys are not installed everywhere yet. Our wooden houses are fine when built to code. We put them up on stilts so they can handle around 4+ feet of water and use a special nailing system for the sides. So they can withstand wind speeds aroudn 235mph. We can take them up to 250mph if someone is willing to use the extra nails & the little more time.

I think they should names Hurricanes after street fighters characters

Hurricane "Zhangief" Pile-drive Texas or Hurricane "Ken" just Dragon-Punch Miami

What is the system behind naming hurricanes Teh ppl with those names must feel insulted. Like if some girl is Kathrina I would sue the weather department like it's possible for every bullshit in the US.

If I could name hurricanes I would use teh names of russian leaders. Like Lenin, Stalin, Putin xD

But Chun-Li is a good name for a hurricane xD Like her propkick
    Yata!
