Can we really change the world?
Some believe that the world is shitty because of "Someone like You". Can a simple act of kindness, passed continually onwards, really cause the world to change? I mean monk's are still being shot and killed, we still murder each other, still show complete disregard to our environment, and still treat each other like garbage. Why do we have this obsession with this need for superiority, a need for something trivial that can distinguish myself from you? All these questions. But what do you all really believe; I believe that, though I may be insulted or treated like crap, I try not to allow that to be the foundation on which I form an opinion about one person, or a group of people. Nor do I believe that genetics play any type of role in the formation of a person's identity or character, so that I can be accepting of any and everyone. Or at least I try to be. In general, I try to not become a shitty person because other treat me like shit. And I believe, no matter how futile it may be for a single person to change the world, when I am dying, on my death-bed, I want leave this world knowing that I tried my hardest, with kindness and love, to changes this world, and if not the world, only one person.
