Pretty sure Kerry's numbers were like that before the swiftboating too. He does have a very strong ground game though, which McCain just can't compete against, it should turn out the voters to such an extent that even caging, diebold, Florida, and Ohio just can't fuck us over again.
But what if another Clint Curtis is there?

read this: its from a security officer for the RNC convention

    http://www.salon.com/opinion/feature...rce=newsletter
Charles Hunter, an environmentalist delegate from New Hampshire and a veteran of Republican conventions going back to the 1980 coronation of Ronald Reagan at Detroit's Joe Louis Arena, can't sleep at all.

"This is my last convention," he tells me, lighting a cigarette.

    "Why?"

"I'm a real McCain guy. I served. But I liked the old McCain -- when he was a true hero, before he signed on with the yahoos. I actually believe in 'country first.'"

    "Not a fan of Palin?"

"If I were McCain I'd probably bring her onto my ticket, too. That's exactly the problem. I guess I tricked myself into thinking that McCain, even after he watered himself down for the election, could somehow restore sanity. The Democrats tried to paint him as a twin of Bush. Not true. But Palin ... she does remind me of Bush. McCain has made a devil's pact and sealed this party's fate."

Even though he's older, he smokes his cigarette like a young man, with earnest haste, before he flicks it off into the dark.

"That's it," he said, "we're through. Even if we win, we've lost.

McCain was in the bottom 5 in his naval class and Palin struggled to get her Bachelor's degree(4 colleges). Isn't this like Bush all over again?
I feel like crying every time i think of how stupid we really are. And the thing is we have gotten even dumber the past few years. We never ask questions, we never demand for the full news, We never question the media on the half truths that they report.
I think that we have been living in fear since 9/11 and the neo-cons never let us forget it happened neither. Every election, their fear machine is in full gear and they prey on the fear that they generate to gain votes(and it works). And we've been hiding behind our guns and religion ever since 9/11 too.
The World has already started calling us "3rd World Country".If the american people knew how bad the economy is, then they'd agree with the world too. We have lost considerable power with the fail Bush Policy and the world knows it.

have you guys ever seen that movie ENNEMY OF THE STATE with Will Smith and Gene Hackman? You do know that the government is capable of doing that right(Patriot Act)?
I always say the wrong people are voting for the US president (and by extension leader of the free world). The people voting for the American president should be anyone but Americans (sorry, but you guys can't be trusted).

The Americans should have come up with the IQ law on voting.
if your IQ isn't above the standard level, you don't have the right to vote.

Technically, he was appointed president once, and elected the second time by his supporters. (Allegedly)

It's not that Americans are stupid - just really uneducated. They don't think, but they're capable of doing so, I bet. ...More than we suspect.

    The tools are there.
they had money for the educations and the best what they could get from the 1900 straight to present.

compare to us we used to study outdated math/dutch colonial books from the 50
while you got multiple choice test and computers in classes

No, he was appointed president both times and both times Democrats let it go.
    1. the Florida recount --- 2000

    2. Ohio disenfranchised African American Voters ---- 2004

that's how Bush won both elections.

    @Digital_Eon
It's both, they are stupid and uneducated. Americans with a graduate or in college, support Obama overwhelmingly. Its not a coincidence.

Necroing this because John McCain is an idiot.

    Or senile, whichever you prefer.

I for one can't fathom what McCain was thinking when he pulled this little stunt. Snubbing David Letterman, outright lying to David Letterman, and apparently expecting that Letterman would let this slide?

Man, and to think that this man has shot at the presidency.
